The Terms of Reference for the ESPON project aiming at developing a common vision regarding sustainable spatial development in the whole Alpine area is now published. Based on the 10 main challenges identified by the Murnau Declaration for sustainable spatial development in the Alps signed by the ministers responsible for territorial development of the Alpine States, Alps2050 will display the current state and develop spatial perspectives for a wider Alpine area taking into account the perimeters of the Alpine Convention, the Interreg Alpine Space Programme and the EUSALP.
