The eighth Report on the State of the Alps (RSA 8) on air quality will be officially launched next week during a public event being organised by the Alpine Convention on the 4th of June in the framework of EU Green Week.
The RSA 8 is the result of a joint effort by experts from all the Alpine countries and the European Union to collect and analyse official data, establish the status of air quality, identify the sources of pollution as well as investigate smart solutions and measures applied in the Alps. The experts also identified a set of recommendations for policymakers to effectively target the key challenges for Alpine air.
During the event “An Alpine approach to improving air quality” on the 4th of June, several authors of the Report will present its conclusions and results, focussing on the phenomena and processes that affect Alpine air. The speakers will highlight the status and trends of Alpine air as well as presenting the most interesting smart solutions applied throughout the Alpine region and the recommendations provided by the RSA 8. The tentative programme for the event is available.
The online event is being organised by the former French Presidency of the Alpine Convention and the Permanent Secretariat. The event is open to all and you can register via this link.
We hope to see you there!
