For the 5th year in a row, the Reading Mountains Festival set the stage for Alpine literature. This anniversary edition was supported by 100 events, organized across the Alps and beyond, featuring writers, musicians and linguistic artists. Hundreds of people came together to celebrate International Mountain Day with the Partners and Info Points of the Alpine Convention!
Secretary General Alenka Smerkolj: “The Reading Mountains Festival is a special opportunity to celebrate the cultural diversity of the Alps – its many languages, different, yet similar cultural heritage and its arts in all shapes and forms.Throughout the past editions, the event has grown into such a great success that we could only have hoped for”. The Reading Mountains Festival not only connects people across the Alps, but also acts as a platform to discuss Alpine issues and the meaning (behind) Alpine literature.
