The Reading Mountains Festival goes beyond each of the events itself – it is also a way to connect people despite them being physically apart. In the 2015 edition book lovers and authors, mountaineers and artists throughout the Alps (and beyond) were discussing similar issues and evaluating the meaning, impact and purpose of Alpine literature. Some of these discussions are captured in the film “People, Books and Mountains - The Quest for Alpine literature”.
Based on the success of the initiative in 2015 we are launching the Reading mountains festival also in 2016. Taking place between 5 and 11 December on many different locations across the Alps, partners and friends are organizing “reading mountains” events. You can find more information here.
