The team is meeting in Vienna, the seat of our presidency to start the 2017 “We are Alps” dedicated to the topic of water in the Alps. We will take a group of 10 journalists across the Alps in 8 days using only sustainable means of transport and conclude the tour on Sunday 2nd July. Along the way activities and projects dedicated to the topic of water - from drinking water to water sports and spa, from water ecology to irrigation, hydroelectricity and more, also highlighting the issues of natural disasters and climate change – will be visited. The group will experience various rivers and lakes in Austria, Italy and France with a finish by the sea in Monaco. The aims of this project are promoting the Alpine Convention and showing the importance of water in the Alps. Stay in touch and read our daily blog here.
