Convention Depositary

Austria is the Depositary (location where all signed documents are stored) of the Alpine Convention as stated in Article 12 of the Framework Convention.

The Alpine countries shall notify the Depositary on matters referring to the Convention and the Depositary shall inform all other States and Parties of any notification it receives thus keeping them informed and updated on any changes – new signatures, deposit of ratifications etc. 

The Depositary shall inform the Alpine States and Signatories of any signature, date of entry into force of the Convention and declaration madereferring to the extension of the territory covered by the Convention.
