Chamonix Infopoint

In May 2013, the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention and the Municipality of Chamonix Mont-Blanc signed a Memorandum of Understanding (in French). After the Memorandum signed with Domodossola (IT) and Grand Paradis National Park (IT), the Infopoint in Chamonix was the first one in France. In order to accomplish the foreseen activities, the staff of the Municipality managing the Infopoint was duly trained by the Permanent Secretariat of the Alpine Convention and has the necessary informational material at disposal.

On 3 April 2019, Eric Fournier, President of the Community of Communes of the Valley of Chamonix Mont-Blanc and Secretary General, Ambassador Markus Reiterer renewed the Memorandum of Understanding for the second time. The Memorandum was renewed for a third time in 2023.
